There are 32 WRU female rugby hubs in Wales: Ogwr Hawks is the official girls only hub for Bridgend and surrounding areas.
We provide a comprehensive female pathway to a high standard of playing and/or coaching, but we also exist to develop a love for rugby, friendships, confidence, fitness, self-esteem, social skills and enjoyment from a young age.

As well as training, playing competitive matches and taking part in rugby festivals, we attend professional games together, visit/train at local schools, hold celebration evenings and you'll even see us on the television.

We have more than 130 registered Hawk's at any one time and a group of friendly, qualified and experienced coaches. We train Mondays on either an all-weather 4G or grass pitch , both in Bridgend. We accept girls from 6-106 and run a senior women's touch session. We play/coach tag, touch, early-contact and full-contact Rugby and our season generally runs in line with Mixed Rugby March. We are extremely proud of our girls achievements, and I am very proud of the coaching Team and volunteers who work to provide girls with the best possible Rugby experience. Tracey Balmer - HUB Lead.
